August 2023 Horoscopes and Astrology

It’s time to embrace a month of major plot twists! August begins with a Super Full Moon in Aquarius and ends with one is Pisces. Super Moon Season is in full throttle. When the Moon is in closest proximity to the Earth big things happen— and I have no doubt that they will. Embedded in the underbelly of August will also be Venus’ trek retrograde through Leo. This isn’t an ordinary Leo Season as a result!

Leos, in particular, need to work extra hard to not let Venus get the best of them when it comes to feeling unappreciated. The Venus retrograde midway point ( & black out) takes place on August 13, signaling an important turning point in what we need to value for ourselves and others. It’s so important to keep your eye on the prize with this 40 day cycle that can really bear down on the heart. A new 8 year cycle is in the making and you want to embrace it with love, light and appreciation for your self-worth. 

A Leo New Moon takes place on August 16 lifting our spirits. At this stage of the month, we can expect to engage with creating a new framework for re-igniting our flames of passion and creativity. It’s never dull that’s for sure!

Adding important dynamic twists will be Mercury’s station retrograde on August 23. The planet of communication and logistics treks back —- just as Virgo Season begins! Lots of Plan B’s will be necessary —- but if anyone can come up with a back-up or organize the chaos its got to be VIRGO! I will say that Mercury Retros taking place in the signs ruled by Mercury (Gemini + Virgo) tend to be a little EXTRA. I tell you this not to make you worry — but rather lessen your expectations. 

Mars makes an important move at the end of the month exited Virgo and heading into Libra. This will be another important shift of dynamics since Mars in Libra operates quite differently than Virgo. Virgo is all about getting things done and crossing it off the list. Whereas, Libra is all about social dynamics and people pleasing. How far will we go to make others happy? We will all just have to see!

Adding fuel to the planetary mix is shaken not stirred Uranus’ station retrograde. That takes place on August 28 stirring which I have no doubt will stir our pots and create some new twists in our stories. On the tails of that turn will be the Moon’s grand August finale! As we say good bye to this topsy turvy month, the Moon will BLOOM in the sign that likes to believe in the impossible. A rare Pisces Blue Super Full Moon peaks on August 30 illuminating new themes and pushing us to say good bye to the past.
