January 2022 Horoscopes and Astrology

Hello 2022! A new year welcomes a new energy and frame of mind! As we begin the month of January, we’ll be in the thick of Capricorn Season. Expect a major focus on Capricorn themes, including new goal setting and 2022 manifesting. Venus, travelling retrograde through Capricorn, will also bring the energy of this sign to the forefront. She’ll be directing our attention into relationships, new boundary setting, partnership feasibility and financial savviness. Venus will be reborn as the morning star late in the month, igniting a new and important 8-year cycle. Capricorn means business and that mindset will influence us in the coming weeks.

There will be a high level of desire for new initiations but delays and blockage are bound to play part. The first Mercury Retrograde of 2022 begins mid-month forcing us into diversions and Plan B’s. A great deal of attention is still centering on the stubborn nature of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius). High planetary action will be activating all of them, not only as we kick off 2022 but as we continue to trek through the next 12 months! An important Nodal Shift also takes place mid month creating new and focused attention on Taurus + Scorpio related themes over the next 18 months. At the same time an important high energy marker of awareness comes with January’s Cancer Full Moon (exact on Jan 17), which also features the great shaker Uranus stationing direct!

As you begin the New Year, use the energy of Capricorn Season to create new goals for yourself—but remain flexible into where they might lead. With an abundant Aquarius energy also building, opportunities will be available to re-focus your lens into seeing things differently. It’ll also serve you well to break some old habits and begin coming up with some brand new rules for yourself. This may become most feasible at the very last minutes of January into early February with the Aquarius New Moon — welcoming us into the year of the Tiger!
