The January 2017 New Moon in Aquarius carries a message reminding us to be true to ourselves.
The energy of Aquarius, the sign that doesn’t conform to the rules, is about to be in full blast. It will peak during the first New Moon of the year on January 27th, 2017. A need to stand strong and think outside the box will be highlighted. It’ll likely come out strongest in our relationship dynamics.
Here’s an excerpt from my Member January New Moon Article:
The sign of Aquarius will take center stage – a unique and rebellious sign.
Whether we admit to it or not, we’re all a little different, radical or rebellious (Aquarian traits) in some way or another. Sometimes this side of us can be a little tricky to explore …. or even look at. It’s different and sometimes uncomfortable –but these are the parts of us that are the most amazing.
This Aquarius New Moon’s message reminds us that we need to remember to be true to ourselves.
To help us along, courage will be readily available. A turning point will be happening alongside this New Moon. Mars, the planet of courage, will be operating in the 29th degree of Pisces which indicates an important turning point in more ways than one.
The number 29 has always been important to me in my predictive work (read more about what I call MAGIC 29 here). It’s a symbol that something is about to change. The 29th degree of Pisces is also the very last degree of the zodiac. A turning point is bound to come out as a result.
The January 2017 New Moon will also coincide with the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Fire Rooster.
It officially begins on January 28th, 2017 (the day the New Moon occurs in Asia) and brings a firey “show off” kind of energy onto the scene. The celebration will extend until the Full Moon on February 11th, 2017 (which will be an eclipse!) and close out with the spectacular Lantern Festival.
This January New Moon will highlight the place in our lives where we are being pushed to think differently or take on a new perspective.
It’s an important discovery and something that is a necessary component of 2017 – a year where different becomes a little more special.

Jews have another name for the evening of a new moon and the day that follows: Rosh Hodesh.
